The Times logo has changed since it appeared on the first day of publication in 1851: Originally it was “The New-York Daily Times.” (The period was included.) Over the years, The Times dropped the hyphen, the period and “Daily,” and occasionally updated the look, though the hand-lettered typeface has always been instantly recognizable. This mug is part of our A1 collection of affordable yet elegant products to fit your everyday lifestyle. Like our typeface, this shirt is designed to be timeless, in style and noticeable for years to come.
The mugs are produced in Nagasaki, Japan with ancient artisan techniques from more than 400 years ago, and yet their elegant texture, smooth form and softly tapered profile make them perfect for the modern home. Depending on the glaze, a bit of color gradation and inconsistency may be seen, but that doesn’t affect the outstanding quality of each mug.
